Biography

Manav Garg did his B.Sc. Physics at the University of Potsdam. He gained firsthand experience in CAD design and characterization of hybrid PICs (Photonic Integrated Circuits) working as a student research assistant at Fraunhofer HHI, Berlin, where he also wrote his thesis on characterization, simulation and design of Mach-Zehnder-Interferometers (MZI) on silicon nitride, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dieter Neher (University of Potsdam). Wanting to explore more about quantum technologies, he moved to Aachen for his masters in physics at the RWTH. After attending the lecture about experimental superconducting qubits by Prof. Dr. Rami Barends, he joined the group to do his master thesis.
