Quantum Computer in the Solid State

QSolid will develop an integrated, fully HPC-embedded demonstrator system based on cryogenic superconducting quantum processors integrated into a fully engineered hardware system with control, read-out and infrastructure up to the specific, optimized firmware and software stack.

German Quantum Computer based on Superconducting Qubits

In this joint project, Germany’s leading scientists in the field of superconducting quantum circuits have teamed up to develop innovative concepts for the construction of an improved quantum processor. They aim to realize a quantum processor with improved quality based on new materials and manufacturing methods.

Digital-Analog Quantum Computing

​​This national project unifies efforts of start-ups and companies together with research institutions and computing centres. The goal is the production and operation of a digital-analogue quantum computer consisting of 54 qubits, as well as the development of the associated calibration and control technology.

Open Superconducting Quantum Computer

The project aims to develop a full-stack quantum computing system of up to 100 qubits and to sustainably operate it at at FZ Jülich and make it available to external users. The system will be applied to tasks of quantum simulation in quantum chemistry which serve as a high-level benchmark, and to problems related to optimization and machine learning.

We have a very fruitful collaboration with the group of Vladimir Manucharyan. In our lab we investigate the promising potential of fluxonium qubits for its application in scalable quantum computing.
